TechLab

TECHLAB designs, develops and manufactures intestinal diagnostics. They are American frontrunners in combatting Clostridioides difficile, and they have ISO 13485 certification and MDSAP, and FDA registration. The researchers at TECHLAB are highly recognized for their C. DIFF QUIK CHEK® test, used for detecting Clostridium difficile antigen, glutamate dehydrogenase (GDH), in fecal specimens from persons suspected of having C. difficile disease. Innovations in the diagnosis of intestinal diseases

Clostridium difficile infection (C. Diff) is one of the most serious nosocomial infections worldwide. The frequency and severity of the infection has increased to be one of the most common hospital-acquired in the last 10 years.

To combat the spread of the infection, the American founders of TECHLAB® have devoted their lives to investigate the diagnosis and treatments for Clostridium difficile infection.

More than 30 years of experience

Since 1989, Dr. Tracy Wilkins and her fellow researchers have been the frontrunners in designing, developing, and manufacturing the first commercial diagnostic reagents to be found for the infectious disease.

Despite concentrating on manufacturing and distributing diagnostic tests, TECHLAB® maintain their active research program with the goal of creating ever improved diagnostic products.

Since the beginning of the investigation and development of C. Diff. tests, TECHLAB® have made an immense impact in the field of microbiology. The C. DIFF QUIK CHEK® plays a central role in multiple independent studies, and is known to be highly sensitive and specific, easy to interpret, and to show results in only 30 minutes.

Researchers, clinicians, technicians, and chemists worldwide uses TECHLAB® assays for routine surveillance screenings, to conduct protozoan parasite research and to determine common causes of diarrheal diseases.

Leading developer and manufacturer

As intestinal diagnostics experts, TECHLAB® are most known for their The C. DIFF QUIK CHEK®. The test is a rapid membrane enzyme immunoassay for use as a screening test to detect Clostridium difficile antigen, glutamate dehydrogenase (GDH), in fecal specimens from persons suspected of having C. difficile disease.

By combining molecular and GDH tests, the C. DIFF QUIK CHEK® is designed to both tell you if the organism is present as well as show whether or not the genes for the toxin are present.

Since toxin testing has been studied more in detail during the last several years, it compares favorably with clinical outcomes and therefore a good predictor of true C. Diff disease.

We recommend C. DIFF QUIK CHEK® for its substantial sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy in disease and toxin testing and for its proven diagnostic performance.
