Monoclonal Anti-Rabies virus (strain CVS-11) Nucleoprotein Anti
The rabies virus nucleoprotein (N) is a highly conserved structural protein essential for viral replication. It tightly encapsulates the viral RNA genome, forming ribonucleoprotein complexes (RNPs) that protect the RNA and serve as templates for transcription/replication. The N protein of the CVS-11 strain (a challenge virus standard) is a major antigen that induces robust T-cell immunity and neutralizing antibodies. Anti-N antibodies are valuable tools for diagnosing rabies infections, studying viral morphogenesis, and developing vaccines or therapeutics due to N's high immunogenicity and cross-reactivity across lyssaviruses. Their specificity enables detection of viral RNPs in infected tissues.
