Human IGFBP-1 Protein, His Tag (MALS verified)
IGFBP1 stands for insulin-like growth factor binding protein 1. It is a protein that binds to insulin-like growth factors (IGFs) and regulates their availability and activity within the body. IGFBP1 is part of a family of six IGFBPs (IGFBP1-6) that interact with IGFs to modulate their biological effects. IGFBP1 binds to IGFs (mostly IGF-1) with high affinity and prolongs their half-life in the circulation by protecting them from degradation. IGFBP1 has also been found to have IGF-independent functions, suggesting that it may have additional roles beyond regulating IGF signaling.
