STAT-IntraOperative System for fast determination of iPTH (intact Para Thyroid Hormone) directly in the Operating Theatre.

The Future Diagnostics system capable of performing an immunoassay virtually near the site where the test result is needed, in the Operating Theatre. This minilab provides an accurate quantitative result in less than 8 minutes. The current assays can be used as an aid during the resection of tumors of the Parathyroid Gland an of Insulin producing tumors. This gives the Endocrine Surgeon a powerful tool for predicting the success rate of the operation, leading to:

  • Decreased surgery time
  • Less patient stress
  • Increased surgery success rate
  • Substantial cost reduction

The STAT-IntraOperative System consists of assays and a set of instrumentation.

The Assays

The STAT-IntraOperative assays are easy to perform with one simple pipetting step. All assay components are present in the wells of microtiter strips, thus allowing for a robust, one-step procedure and a fast time to result (5 minutes of incubation time and in total 8 minutes time to result).

iPTH, the STAT-IntraOperative-Intact-PTH assays is an aid during:

  • The localization of a tumor in one of the Parathyroid Glands
  • the subsequent Hyperparathyroidectomy and
  • the surgery of Secondary Hyperparathyroidism
